I’ve been working on another Cube World Omega update, with more room to customize your equipment, new Warrior talent milestones and a few interface fixes. Here are the highlights! You can find all the changes in the patch notes.

More room for voxel editing

You can now build farther beyond an item’s original shape: 4 voxels in every direction for weapons and 2 for armor. This gives you more space to experiment with the outline of a sword, add details to a wand or change the shape of your armor.

I’ve also added Undo, Redo and Reset buttons to the voxel editor. You can use Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Shift+Z for Undo and Redo, or hold Reset for two seconds to return to the original design. The cubes you’ve already spent stay available for reuse on that item, so it’s easier to try a different idea.

New Warrior milestones

War Frenzy now has Life Steal. It starts by healing you for 1% of the damage you deal, then improves to 2%, 4% and finally 8% as you train the talent.

Cyclone also gets new milestones for each specialization. Berserkers apply a bleeding effect that grows stronger with the talent. Guardians can block while spinning and gain Deflect, which sends a portion of blocked damage back to the attacker. The new Cyclone effects begin at talent level 4, with further improvements at levels 8 and 11.

I’ve also adjusted Smash so you land closer to where you’re aiming with the crosshair, especially when jumping a short distance.

Clearer tooltips and a little more space

After adding the Widget Tilt option, I noticed that flat menus could crowd the item tooltip. The panels now move farther apart as you reduce the tilt, giving the tooltip more room between them. I’ve also fixed long tooltips being cut off at the bottom and flickering where they overlap the HP and MP bars.

Item stats now use fewer decimal places, and weapon and ring comparisons keep the left and right values in place even when one of them is unchanged. Small floating damage and healing numbers below 1 show a decimal place, which makes the new Life Steal easier to see at lower levels.

Thanks for all your feedback during the beta! I hope you have fun trying out the new shapes and Warrior skills.
