A Journal for Your Adventures
I’ve added a Journal to Cube World Omega for the 0.2.0 update. It gives you a place to look up useful information and keep track of what you learn about the world on your travels.
You start with a small Adventurer’s Guide covering villages, crafting and life potions. It explains things like finding shops and crafting stations, choosing recipes and gathering ingredients, so new players have a little help getting started.

As you explore, your Journal grows. Talking to NPCs can add new knowledge, and so can reading, discovering places and observing creatures. The entries cover lore, rumors, places, factions, peoples, creatures and their history. What you already know can also lead to further information in later conversations.
Whenever you learn something new, a JOURNAL UPDATED notification appears. A red dot on the Journal button points you to unread entries, including articles that have gained more information. You can open it with J by default.

I’ve included voxel models and animations in many entries. Here, for example, the article about The Silent Hand shows two of its agents alongside what you’ve learned about the faction. Other articles illustrate creatures, objects and magical phenomena.

Journal discoveries are shared across all your characters. You can explore with a new class or return to an old character and continue building on the same knowledge.
I plan to keep expanding the Journal, the lore and Cube World’s background story. I’d like conversations and discoveries to give you more reasons to explore, and more context for the people, creatures and places you come across. This update lays the groundwork, and there’s plenty more I want to add.
You can find the other changes in the 0.2.0 patch notes.
